Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
Download the Libby app to your device.
If you do not have a device or wish to read on a computer, you can visit the Camellia Net Digital Catalog website.
Find the library by searching zip code 35470. Select "Camellia Net Digital Catalog - Sumter County Library System"
Browse the library’s collection and borrow a title. When prompted, sign in. You’ll need a valid library card and your PIN to complete this step. Your PIN is your first initial and last name (ex. John Doe's PIN would be jdoe).
Borrowed titles appear on your Shelf and download to the app automatically so you can read them when you’re offline.
From your Shelf, you can:
• Tap Start Reading or Start Listening to open a title.
• Tap the cover image, then Send to Device to send a book to Kindle.
Its says my card number or PIN is incorrect. What do I do?
As we have not always had digital services, it is likely that we set up your account without a PIN. Please contact us so we can address this issue.
How do I reserve a title?
Tap "Library".
Search for the title you want to reserve.
Tap "Place Hold".
You will see the wait time for the title. Tap "Place Hold" again.
Who can download digital titles?
Anyone with a Ruby Pickens Tartt Public Library card in good standing can download digital titles. A library card in good standing has less than $5.00 in fines and is current.
Will I receive fines for overdue titles?
You should not receive fines for overdue digital titles. When your loan period is up, the title should disappear from your account automatically. You can choose to return titles early if you wish.
It says there's a problem with my account. Why can't I download any titles?
Just like our regular titles in the library, you won't be able to check out any digital titles if you owe a fine of $5.00 or more, or if your library card has expired. Please contact us or visit the library to resolve these issues.
Why can't I read this title right now?
Just like a regular library book, only one person can access a digital title at a time. You can always add yourself to the wait list for an item, and it will download automatically when it's ready.
